Coldwater Machine Company, a leading engineering solutions company that manufactures and integrates assembly automation and special machines for the automotive, appliance, energy and aerospace industries, has announced that it has hired Daniel Barry as vice president of sales and marketing. In this new position Barry will be responsible for developing strategies to grow the company’s sales, meeting business goals, managing the sales team, and overseeing the marketing functions.
“Dan has over 25 years of capital equipment and automation experience in a variety of industry sectors with a proven track record of sales growth,” said Coldwater President Tim McCaughey. “We’re excited to have him join our company and believe that his sales leadership will increase Coldwater’s success with existing customers as well as creating opportunity with new prospects.”
Prior to joining Coldwater, Barry formed WEMA Vogtland America LLC in 2010, a U.S. operation of Global Retool Group (Dusseldorf), as well as Ascent LLC in 2004, focused on developing growth opportunities for Asian companies in North America and American companies in Japan and Korea. He also served as vice president of sales for Tyrolit N.A., an Austrian-based grinding abrasives company, and vice president of sales and marketing for Cincinnati Lamb Assembly & Test (Rockford, Ill.).
